FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Believe It–It’s True.

Every sight has strengths and weaknesses, and SureSight is no different.  Let’s get your doubts, concerns and any potential drawbacks out of the way right now.

Here are some reasons you might not like SureSight:

Sights won’t make a damn bit of difference if your technique sucks.  If you don’t have a proper grip, good trigger pull, and decent technique, no sight can help you.

What about red dot sights? SureSight has advantages over red dot sights, but dot sights beat SureSight in one major way.  They are true single focal plane sights. That means you can see the dot in perfect focus when your eyes focus on the target.  But, red dot sights come with some drawbacks, too.  They are bulkier, and therefore harder to conceal. They require a lot more range training to become proficient in “finding the dot”. Not just sometimes. You need to see that dot every single time you aim your gun. Even from unconventional shooting positions. For most people familiar with iron sights, this is easier said than done. It can absolutely be done, but it takes a little dedication and regular practice. Unlike regular sights, you can’t see the dot when it’s below eye level.  That can make it especially hard to “find the dot” from odd angles, like if you’re sitting or knocked down in a struggle. Red dot sights also require maintenance.  Nothing too hard, but it must be done. For example, annual battery changes. Periodically verifying that it’s still zeroed in. Inspecting the mounting screws.  Stuff like that. If you shoot regularly and are okay with all that, then a dot may be for you. If not, SureSight can give you most of the advantages of dot sights, for most situations. Without any of the drawbacks.

I don’t think they’ll work. These sights have seen use with a wide variety of shooters. They’ve seen use by ordinary shooters, SWAT team members and ordinary private citizens. They have been working with a large cross section of shooters. All kinds of experience levels and backgrounds have enjoyed their benefits.  Odds are, they’ll work for you, too.

These are WAY too Different.  It’s too hard to learn or get used to new system.  That’s a valid concern.  But the fact is, they are designed to function with how our brains are hardwired. So they will probably work for you…at an inborn, intuitive level. Most people adapt to them in only one or two magazines.  But if not, you can take advantage of our money-back guarantee.

Too Expensive.  Now, you may be thinking that some standard notch and post sights cost a fraction as much as these sights. And you’d be right. SureSight is purpose-built sighting system. As far as I know, it is the first and only system based on science. That is specifically designed to work with your body. To help you survive an up close, rapidly changing lethal force encounter. Using your brain’s inborn abilities. That’s why they are patented.  We’re talking premium self-defense gear here.  Would you pay less for a car that didn’t have seatbelts, or buy a fire extinguisher on closeout?  How much is it worth to you to have a potentially life-saving advantage in a gunfight?

Hard to install. SureSight installs like most other iron sights.  We STRONGLY recommend professional installation.  If you’re handy, you can do it yourself with a vise, file, mallet and nylon punch.  If not, any gunsmith in your area can install them for a small fee.

Can I return them if I don’t like them?  If I’m wrong, and you hate these sights, guess what? You risk almost nothing.  Simply take them off the gun and send them back to us within 30 days for a full refund, minus return shipping.

They look like they’re too sharp—they’ll snag.  SureSight is pointy, that’s true.  But the angles were considered carefully in designing these sights for carry.  Go ahead and try to snag them on a draw—we doubt you’ll be able to.

Can I install the sights myself?

NOTE:  If you are not extremely comfortable with installing the sights yourself (and preferably experienced with it, as well) please seek professional installation from a competent gunsmith.

Due to the unique shape of our sights, sight pusher tools will not work with SureSight.

We strongly encourage you seek professional installation from an experienced gunsmith.  If you are handy and have done this before, you should be able to accomplish this yourself without too much trouble.

Are these night sights?

Yes, the front sight is equipped with a tritium dot for visibility, even in total darkness.  Tritium glows for 12 years and there is never any need to charge it.

For what models is your sight available?

SureSight is available for all 9mm and .40 S&W models of Glocks, Sig Sauer and Springfield pistols.  There are also other pistols that take the same dovetails, such as Walther, IWI, etc.  If your pistol uses Glock or Sig dovetails, our sights should fit.

Can I get SureSight in another color (or all black?)

Research has shown that fluorescent yellow-green and black offer the best combination of daytime visibility, contrast, and visibility in low light.  Our sights are equipped with a rugged polymer impregnated with a custom fluorescent yellow-green coloring.

If you prefer a blacked out rear sight, simply install the sight reversed.  The opposite side has a serrated blacked-out finish, and is designed to be used either as yellow or black, according to your preference.

How visible are your sights in the dark?

Even a without tritium, SureSight functions well in a low light environment. Due to the large front sight and fluorescent color, our sights remain HIGHLY visible in low light, due to the bright yellow coating and relatively large surface area of the front sight.  And when it gets really dark, the front sight is equipped with tritium, which is always visible, even in complete darkness.

Where can I buy SureSight?

Currently, SureSight is available only through our website. In the future, we may offer our sight through other outlets, such as retail stores and other internet sites.

Will these sights make me shoot better?

Let’s be clear:  SureSight won’t fix poor technique. If your grip, stance, or trigger pull needs work, no sight will magically improve your aim.  However, all other factors being equal, we believe  you will have a much easier time getting good hits on target with SureSight.  Especially under stress, and when your eyes are focused on the threat, not your sights.

Why is this better than a red dot sight?

Dot sights excel at single focal plane aiming, allowing you to focus directly on the target. But they come with trade-offs. The first one is that if you don’t see your dot when you point the gun, you have no way to know which direction to align your gun to see it.  This is a huge drawback that only tends to get better with lots of regular practice.  They also have extra bulk, concealment challenges, and the need for regular maintenance, including battery checks and recalibration. SureSight offers many of the benefits of red dots without these drawbacks. And you’ll always know which way you need to move the gun to get sight alignment.

Will SureSight really work for ME?

SureSight has proven itself with SWAT teams, military units, and private users worldwide.  From new shooters to highly experienced professionals.  SureSight is designed to work with everyone’s natural ability to complete shapes instinctively, even when your focus is on the target. So the odds are, it’ll work for you too.

These are way too different! They'll be hard to get used to.

Learning a new system can feel challenging. However, since SureSight works with your brain’s inborn reflexes. Most users adapt within a couple of magazines, and our money-back guarantee provides peace of mind.

Why are they so expensive?

Yes, SureSight costs more than standard notch and post sights. But this is no ordinary sight—it’s a precision self-defense tool designed to leverage your brain’s natural reactions in a life-threatening encounter. Think of it like premium safety gear: you wouldn’t choose a car without seatbelts, or a discount fire extinguisher, right? How much is a potential life-saving advantage worth to you? When it matters most, how much would you be willing to pay to have an edge in a violent conflict where your life (or your loved one’s life) is on the line?

Can I return them?

Yes! If you’re not satisfied, return it within 30 days for a full refund, minus return shipping. You risk almost nothing.

Will these sights snag?

SureSight’s design is pointy but purposefully angled to avoid snagging during a draw. Go ahead, try it—we’re confident you’ll find it snag-free.
