Frequently Asked Questions
NOTE: If you are not extremely comfortable with installing the sights yourself (and preferably experienced with it, as well) please seek professional installation from a competent gunsmith.
Due to the unique shape of our sights, sight pusher tools will not work with SureSight.
We strongly encourage you seek professional installation from an experienced gunsmith. If you are handy and have done this before, you should be able to accomplish this yourself without too much trouble.
Yes, the front sight is equipped with a tritium dot for visibility, even in total darkness. Tritium glows for 12 years and there is never any need to charge it.
SureSight is available for all 9mm and .40 S&W models of Glocks, Sig Sauer and Springfield pistols. There are also other pistols that take the same dovetails, such as Walther, IWI, etc. If your pistol uses Glock or Sig dovetails, our sights should fit.
Research has shown that fluorescent yellow-green and black offer the best combination of daytime visibility, contrast, and visibility in low light. Our sights are equipped with a rugged polymer impregnated with a custom fluorescent yellow-green coloring.
If you prefer a blacked out rear sight, simply install the sight reversed. The opposite side has a serrated blacked-out finish, and is designed to be used either as yellow or black, according to your preference.
Even a without tritium, SureSight functions well in a low light environment. Due to the large front sight and fluorescent color, our sights remain HIGHLY visible in low light, due to the bright yellow coating and relatively large surface area of the front sight. And when it gets really dark, the front sight is equipped with tritium, which is always visible, even in complete darkness.
Currently, SureSight is available only through our website. In the future, we may offer our sight through other outlets, such as retail stores and other internet sites.
